Torn earlobes can happen as a result of the earring being pulled through traumatically, or in some cases due to metal allergy, or even just stress over time.  We offer two different methods of repair.  When appropriate, a “flap” repair allows the patient to have the earlobe re-pierced after a few months and gives the best chance that the piercing will not elongate again in the future.  This procedure is commonly perfomed in the office under local anesthesia.
